Final entry.

Regretfully, I have recently moved from the Corona area. This means these gardening experiments are now over, and unfortunately, I have been forced to dismantle them all. At the moment, I have yet to find a permanent place in which to reside in, so further gardening experimentation will have to be postponed indefinitely. These entries will live on, however, for I have no plans to shut down this blog. Please, do enjoy the records of my efforts.

Carrots

Kiddie pool wicking bed..

All set up and ready to go with the straw for the 'taters. That black cloth will be going up as I fill it throughout the season. For now, I need to transplant those carrots.

Huh..

Found out why the lettuce didn't quite take here.. It happens to be my cat's favorite sunning spot.

Biggish pond update

South facing garden beds..

I still haven't decided if I want to make these traditional, or go through the effort to make them self watering..

south facing side plots..

The one with the bricks about it used to have tomatoes. They finally died off a month ago.

Vertical gardening...

My hoses are a might too bendy, so hopefully a day or two like this will fix it.

Recycling at its best..

Wicking bed..

Made from those bright orange plastic buckets.. With a vertical gardening twist. Not entirely certain it will actually work, but wrapping the outside of the buckets with burlap or something sounds like it will work.

Front pond plans

Going vertical and nft.. Now what I need is a pump that can do that..

Strawberry pot 2

Both of these I consider good practice. I think the same skills will be needed for a grow tower, should I actually get off my duff and make myself one.

Strawberry pot 1

Front pond update..

Yeah. I cheated. These transplants are doing well though. And the other flowers in the beds are recovering from my water mismanagement. In short, some areas in the bed were not getting sufficient amounts of water.

And these? Carrots. (Finally)

See that there? The first 'tater.

Biggish pond update..

these transplants aren't doing so good either.

Biggish pond..

The other pot for comparison. See how the gravel is slightly lower?

Biggish pond..

Up here, the transplants look dismal to me. I think I may have planted them too high in the container, or maybe the birds happen to like to sit here.

Biggish pond update..

Lettuce and swiss chard are doing alright, so far... Here anyway.

Biggish pond update

Stumps all mudded, and awaiting grout. We get rain today, and so that will have to wait.
